Seas of Aether
Love never forgets, but it may get lost for a while
Wandering seas of aether between worlds, between lives
All these years I've spent searching
For what I've carried with me this whole time
What could compare with sweet kisses of starlight
Or the fragrant strands of dreams woven into my soul
Once such a purity of being is felt
One seeks it forever, in both life and death
Though many women of valor have dared to try
to wear such shimmering brilliance in name of love and beauty
Mortal flesh forbids such untainted essence
And to my own I hold equal fault
For what paradox do we seek that which cannot be
Like the night chasing the vaporous trail of the sun's light
Even if such miracles came to pass
I could not counter such radiance
This blessed haunting I treasure
And never could I forsake the sanctity of its memory
Love never forgets, but it may get lost for a while
Wandering seas of aether between worlds, between lives
